Kundan
Kundan is a traditional Indian jewellery technique in which highly refined gold foil is set around gemstones or glass to create a seamless, continuous setting. Originating in the royal courts of Rajasthan and Mughal India, Kundan remains the benchmark of Indian bridal jewellery.
-
Polki
Polki uses uncut, flat-faceted diamonds or glass set face-up without backing foil. Unlike Kundan, which has a reflective foil base, Polki stones transmit light through them — creating a softer, more textured luminosity that reads beautifully under all lighting.
-
Meenakari
Meenakari is a 500-year-old Rajasthani art of painting enamel onto metal surfaces by hand. Each colour is fired separately at high temperature to achieve depth and permanence. The result is jewellery that carries the warmth of pigment rather than the coldness of stone.
-
American Diamond
American Diamond (also known as CZ — cubic zirconia) is a laboratory-grown crystal that refracts light in the same wavelengths as a diamond. It is the preferred stone for high-clarity, high-sparkle Indian festive jewellery that is meant to be worn freely — not locked in a safe.
common questions
Everything you need to know
Does Navan Emporia ship from Canada?
Yes — all orders ship from Canada and arrive in 3–5 business days. You will receive tracking confirmation within 24 hours of your order being placed.
What is your return policy?
We offer 07-day returns on all unworn pieces. If your order arrives and isn't exactly what you expected, contact us within 07 days of delivery and we'll arrange a return. No questions asked.
What is the difference between Kundan and Polki?
Kundan uses a reflective gold foil base behind each stone, giving it a brighter, more uniform sparkle. Polki stones are set without backing foil, so light passes through them — creating a softer, more layered luminosity. Both are traditional Indian jewellery techniques. Kundan reads as brighter; Polki reads as deeper.
Can I order bridal jewellery in time for my function?
Yes — if you order at least 5 days before your function, your order will arrive in time. We dispatch within 24 hours of your order being placed and ship from Canada. You'll receive tracking confirmation immediately. If you're unsure about timing, contact us directly before ordering.
